OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS |
Objectives of the Course Unit: |
It is aimed to gain knowledge about raising awareness about different cultures by adopting the science of social anthropology, its field of study, basic principles, approaches, methods and the transcultural approach of anthropology. |
Contents of the Course Unit: |
Definition and basic concepts of anthropology, language, communication, economy and culture, family and gender, different cultures. |

Explains the effects of culture on human behavior. |
Judges the history and cultures of humanity from a broad perspective. |

Compares the methods of social anthropology with the methods of other social sciences. |
