OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The aim of this course is to teach the theories that explain biological aging and the most valid ones.
Contents of the Course Unit: Evolutionary aging of biological aging; speed of life; use and aging; programmed aging; familial longevity; neuroendocrine system; immune system; somatic mutation; DNA repair; errors and repairs; accumulation of waste products; cross-linking; free radical theories.

Evaluate how much these theories can explain aging.
It follows aging at the molecular, cell and organism level.
Know the theories explaining the causes of biological aging
