OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: It is aimed to gain knowledge about the causes of communication, language and speech disorders and their clinical and educational classification.
Contents of the Course Unit: Clinical and educational classification of speech, language and speech disorders, basic concepts and definitions in language and speech disorders.

Defines audiologist and speech and language therapy as a profession.
Explains the job description of audiologist and speech and language therapist.
Relates communication, language and speech processes.
Categorizes communication, language and speech disorders in clinical and educational terms.
Explains the importance of multidisciplinary work.
Explains the role and task limits of other experts in multidisciplinary work.
