OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: It is aimed to gain knowledge about the basic structure and functioning mechanisms of all systems that consist of the human body.
Contents of the Course Unit: Muscle physiology, energy sources in muscle contraction, respiratory system physiology, circulatory system physiology, nervous system physiology, motor control, sensory physiology.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Explains the contraction mechanism of the muscle.
Compare the energy sources used in muscle contraction.
Arrange the effects of exercise on the muscular system.
Discover the adaptation mechanisms in the respiratory system through exercise.
Discover the adaptation mechanisms in the heart and circulatory system through exercise.
Arrange the effects of exercise on endocrine, nervous and excretory system.
Explain the basic concepts of sensory physiology.
Arrange physiological changes that occur under extreme conditions.
