OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS |

| Objectives of the Course Unit: | It is aimed to gain knowledge and attitudes regarding the differentiation of basic biochemical reactions at the cellular level and the explanation of pathological processes. |
| Contents of the Course Unit: | Introduction to biochemistry and fundamental concepts of metabolism, cell structure and organelles, intermolecular interactions and chemical bonds, cell membrane, transport and energy in the cell, structure, functions and metabolism of amino acids and proteins, enzymes, classification, structure, digestion, absorption and metabolism of carbohydrates and lipids, nucleic acids, vitamins, trace elements, and the structure and mechanisms of action of hormones. |
