OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS |

Objectives of the Course Unit: | It is aimed to gain knowledge about microorganisms' structure, classification, general characteristics, conditions necessary for the growth and reproduction of microorganisms and disease-forming mechanisms; important infections, disease factors and prevention ways. |
Contents of the Course Unit: | Introduction to Microbiology and History, Structure and General Features of Microorganisms, Development and Reproduction in Microorganisms, Microbial Metabolism and Genetics, Microorganism-Host Relationships, Microbial Flora of the Body, Ways of Infection Transmission, Disinfection, Antisepsis and Sterilation, General Features of Bacteria, Important Bacterial Factors, Viruses General Features, Important Viral Agents, General Features of Fungi, Important Fungi and Molds, General Features of Parasites, Important Parasitic Factors, Microbial Diagnostic Methods, Antibiotic Action Mechanisms, Resistance to Antibacterial Drugs, Basic Immunology and Immunity. |
