OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The objective of the course is to help students gain the skill to apply advanced technical movements on advanced instruments, to classify training programs specific to different age groups in artistic gymnastics and to prepare a training program for teaching basic techniques specific to the age.
Contents of the Course Unit: The contents of the course include history and of gymnastics and rules of contest, definition and technical features of Male and Female artistic gymnastics equipment, staging and preliminar work on movements on ground, pommeled horse, ring, jump table, parallel, bar, asymmetrical parallel and balance instruments.

Explain the basic information about artistic gymnastics training methods.
Apply advanced level special techniques on instruments.
Teach basic techniques of artistic gymnastics.
Classify training programs specific for different age groups in artistic gymnastics.
Prepare the training program for teaching the basic techniques of artistic gymnastics.
