OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The objective of the course is to provide the students with the knowledge and skills to prepare the training plan in the basic level to develop the contra and defense skills of different techniques specific to wrestling sports.
Contents of the Course Unit: The content of the course includes successful athletes in the history of Turkish and World wrestling, counter attack and defense in different techniques, special teaching methods specific to counter attack and defense techniques, and preparation of a basic level training program to develop various technical skills in wrestling sport.

Describe traditional wrestling types.
Explain special teaching methods of different techniques specific to wrestling sports.
Practice wrestling sports specific defense and counter attack techniques.
Apply different techniques of wrestling sport in pair exercises.
Analyze the movement of various techniques in wrestling sport.
Formulate a training program to develop various technical skills in the wrestling sport.
