AMAÇ VE İÇERİK

Amaç: This course aims to provide the students with the historical flow of furniture design and manufacturing process from the beginning up to day and the ability to recognize with the examples of interior space and furniture applications.
İçerik: Contents of the course include the reflections of art movements from different periods and cultures, from the ancient ages to 20th Century, on the interior and furniture applications.

Define art movements from different periods and cultures, from ancient ages to 20th Century.
Classify furniture, accessory and spatial equipment of different periods and cultures.
Give examples by associating art movements with furniture.
List the socio-cultural and socio-economic events in the history in terms of interior spaces and furniture.
Show differences between important artists, architects, designers and their works in periods.
