Amaç: | This course aims to teach the operating principles, performance analysis, and structures of gas turbine engines. By understanding the components and functions of gas turbine engines, students will grasp the maintenance and repair processes. |
İçerik: | The course begins with the fundamental operating principles of gas turbine engines (energy conversion, the Brayton cycle) and the structural characteristics of different engine types. Engine performance, power and speed relationships, efficiency parameters, and environmental impacts are addressed. The functions of components such as compressors, combustion chambers, intake systems, and other engine parts are examined. Additionally, the phenomena of "stall" and "surge" in compressors and their effects on engine operating conditions and efficiency are detailed. |
