AMAÇ VE İÇERİK

Amaç: This course aims to teach students the working principles of critical components of gas turbine engines such as turbine section, exhaust system, bearings, seals, lubricants and fuels. It also aims to provide information on maintenance, repair and performance evaluation of these components.
İçerik: The course covers topics such as blade types in the turbine section, nozzle guide vanes and turbine blade stress. The structure and working principles of the exhaust system, engine noise reduction and the operation of thrust reversers are discussed. The structure and working principles of bearings, seals, lubrication systems are examined. In addition, information is given on the properties of lubricants and fuels, safety precautions and additives. This course provides the necessary theoretical and practical information for the maintenance and performance management of engine components.
