AMAÇ VE İÇERİK

Amaç: This course aims to introduce important discussions about the changing nature of social, economic and political relations between media and society.
İçerik: Contents of the course include the subjects as in topics and discussions in media studies, Global media companies, power of consumer, approaches to the effects of media, celebrities, journalism and basic features of new media.

Describe the fundamentals of traditional mass medium and media.
Informed about the history of media development taking place in the world and in Turkey.
Evaluate the relationship and interaction between media and power in a critical way.
Learn the history of global and national institutions and organizations related to media.
