AMAÇ VE İÇERİK

Amaç: This course aims to examine the development of psychology in a historical process and to provide an opportunity to comprehend how the contemporary psychology concept is formed.
İçerik: Contents of the course include the subjects as follows: "1) Studies for history of psychology 2) Philosophical and physiological effects on psychology 3) Structuralism 4) Functionalism: Foundation and Development 5) Applied Psychology 6) Behavioural Psychology 7) Gestalt psychology 8) Psychoanalysis 9) Contemporary thoughts in psychology".

Examine the history of psychology in terms of schools of thought. (Bloom’s 3)
Interpret the newly formed psychological ideas and schools of thought. (Bloom’s 3)
Discuss the reasons of fundamental differentiation between philosophy and psychology. (Bloom’s 2)
Interpret the effects of political, economic and scientific movements observed in the world at the time when the basic hypotheses of the basic theories of psychology emerged. (Bloom’s 3)
Determine by which approaches or theories human behaviour and mental processes might have been affected in the history of psychology. (Bloom’s 2)
