AMAÇ VE İÇERİK

Amaç: It's aimed to gain knowledge about nutrient and energy requirements in humans, recommended daily nutritional expenditure shares, Basic energy sources (Fats, Carbohydrates, Proteins), Metabolism in good nutrition status (Liver, Fat tissue, Skeletal muscle, Brain), Metabolism in starvation (Liver, Fat tissue, Skeletal muscle, In the brain, the biomedical importance of vitamins and minerals, nutrition and coronary artery disease, cancer, obesity, such as the relationship between some diseases, nutritional disorders with changes in biochemical parameters.
İçerik: MMetabolism, Production and storage of metabolic energy, Bioenergetics, Transport in Membranes, Glycolysis (Embden-Meyerhof Road), Citric acid (Krebs) cycle, Electron Transport System and Oxidative phosphorylation, Pentosphosphate pathway, Glycogenogenesis, Glycogen metabolism; glycogenesis and glycogenolysis, Lipid metabolism; fatty acid oxidation, biosynthesis, membrane lipids, cholesterol and sterol metabolism, Amino acid metabolism, Integrity of metabolism, control of metabolic processes

Define the regulation of glycolytic pathway and glucose metabolism as an energy source.
Associate disorders relating to carbohydrate metabolism.
Define biochemical pathways relevant in nutrient metabolism.
Solve the causes, mechanisms and effects of diseases by using metabolism information.
Classify biomolecules.
Explain the structure and functions of biomolecules
Explain the metabolic phenomena that occur during digestion of nutrients and destruction of biomolecules.
Explain control mechanisms of metabolic pathways.
Explain amino acid metabolism.
