OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: To teach global environmental problems and to have knowledge about the measures to be taken
Contents of the Course Unit: Effects of Human Activities on Environment, Factors Affecting Globalization and Causes Environmental Problems Caused by Globalization Water Pollution, Air Pollution, Soil Pollution, Erosion and Effects of Natural Disasters, Effects of Wars on Environment and Society, Effects of Radioactive Pollution on Society and Nature, Global Dimensions of Noise Pollution, Global Environmental Problems Caused by Population Growth Unplanned Urbanization, Water and Food Problems Infectious Diseases and Migration Problems Pollution of the Oceans Conservation of Natural Flora and Wildlife Forests and Tropical Rainforests.

Remembering The student identifies basic environmental problems and related concepts. “Identifies basic environmental problems such as global warming, water pollution, air pollution, and loss of biodiversity.”
Understanding The student explains the causes of environmental problems and their relationship to human activities. “Explains the effects of industrialization, energy consumption, and consumer culture on the environment.”
Applying The student analyzes a specific environmental problem and applies measures that can be taken in daily life. “Creates and implements a personal action plan to reduce individual carbon footprint.”
Analyzing The student compares the economic, social, and political dimensions of global environmental issues. “Compares environmental policies in different countries and analyzes their effects.”
Evaluating The student evaluates different solution proposals in terms of sustainability, effectiveness, and feasibility. “Evaluates the effectiveness of existing international agreements and policies on environmental issues.”
