OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to enable students to comprehend the history of cinema and movements and styles in cinema through auteur directors and auteur theory and to increase their love for cinema.
Contents of the Course Unit: Within the scope of the course, great directors from the history of cinema such as Orson Welles, Alfred Hitchcock, Ingmar Bergman, Andrei Tarkovsky, Akira Kurosawa, Stanley Kubrick, and Martin Scorsese and their cinematic views and films are included. In addition, detailed information about auteur theory is among the main content of the course.

Examine various examples from world cinema.
