OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: In this course, it is aimed to provide the theoretical knowledge of physiotherapy methods and to put them into practice using the acquired knowledge.
Contents of the Course Unit: This course includes theoretical and applied areas such as the history of electrotherapy, electrophysiology, effects of electrotherapy, electric shock, sensing of current, TENS, ultrasound, shortwave diathermy, interphalangeal currents.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Explains the electrical properties of tissues.
Explains electrotherapy applications and the electrophysiological effects it creates in tissues.
Shows competence in applying currents.
Relates currents correctly to the diseases to which these currents will be applied.
Plans the application method of currents in accordance with the disease.
