| Objectives of the Course Unit: | The goal is to learn about the structure and function of hereditary material, the mechanisms of genetic disease development, diagnostic methods, and genetic counseling processes, starting from the basic principles of genetics. |
| Contents of the Course Unit: | This course covers fundamental concepts of genetics, the structure and function of hereditary material, gene expression processes, mutations, and repair mechanisms; it also examines the classification of genetic diseases, the genetic basis of cancer, prenatal and preimplantation diagnostic methods, newborn screening, and genetic counseling. |
