OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS |

| Objectives of the Course Unit: | The aim is to provide knowledge about fundamental pharmacological concepts, drug preparation, administration and drug interactions, mechanisms of action of drugs, analgesic agents, antimicrobial agents, antidiabetics, chemotherapy and immunosuppressive agents. |
| Contents of the Course Unit: | The course covers the following topics: Introduction to pharmacology, pharmaceutical forms and routes of administration, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, respiratory system drugs, drugs used in the treatment of congestive heart failure and arrhythmias, drugs used in the treatment of angina pectoris and peripheral vasodilators, antihypertensive, antihyperlipidemic and hematopoietic system acting drugs, central nervous system drugs, autonomic nervous system drugs, digestive system drugs, urinary system drugs, antibiotics and analgesics, and endocrine system drugs. |
