OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS |

Objectives of the Course Unit: | It is aimed to recognize childhood developmental processes and to raise awareness about childhood diseases and syndromes. |
Contents of the Course Unit: | Normal brain development, neuromotor development, developmental stages, risk factors causing disability, mental retardation in terms of child neurology, risky infant monitoring, childhood nervous system infections, Causes and approach to hearing loss in children, diagnosis and follow-up of Cerebral Palsy, Convulsions, Epilepsy, Definition of febrile convulsions and first aid, Language and speech delay and causes in children, Neurological problems with autistic findings and their effect on language development, Teamwork in neurological diseases, Physical child abuse. |
