OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: With this lesson; It is aimed to understand the screening methods used in the evaluation of hearing and speech disorders.
Contents of the Course Unit: This lesson; It includes basic screening methods and applications used in hearing, speech and language problems, advantages and disadvantages of screening protocols, evaluation and reporting of data obtained as a result of screening.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Defines the relationship between hearing potential and speech ability.
Comprehends that a very good auditory potential is needed from birth for good speech development.
Explains that auditory deprivation, which occurs from the first years of life, causes the individual to experience speech impairment throughout his/her life.
