OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: To ensure comprehending of, clinical characteristics of neurological diseases, mechanism formations of symptoms and signs that reveal in human body, measurement and assessment methods that used in neurological rehabilitation, application of neurophysiologic based techniques according to the case characteristics, to improve clinical decision making and problem solving skills in neurologic rehabilitation.
Contents of the Course Unit: Clinical characteristics of common neurologic disease such as movement disorders, demyelinating diseases, neuromuscular diseases, clinical characteristics of upper and lower motor neuron diseases in terms of physiotherapy programs, patient-oriented measurement- assessment and neurophysiologic based treatment program, prepare project.

Describe the clinical features of neurological diseases.
Describe the clinical features of lower and upper motor neuron influences.
Know basic measurement and evaluation methods of evaluation of lower and upper motor neuron influences.
Plans appropriate rehabilitation program for neurological diseases.
Applies the treatment program appropriate to the disease at a basic level.
