OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS |
Objectives of the Course Unit: |
The students will be able to provide care related to reproductive system of woman in all periods of their lives. |
Contents of the Course Unit: |
Includes improving the health of female reproductive system from birth until old age. |
KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to) |
Describes male and female reproductive system and function, the fertile and infertile periods. |
Manages normal labor and provide care and fetal health assessment, counsel breastfeeding. |
Recognizes reproductive organ infections and sexually transmitted infections and associate gynaecologic diagnosis and treatment methods. |
Monitors pregnant women and apply antenatal care. |
Indicates that he/she believes the gender equality and human/women's rights while providing reproductive health services. |
Provides maternal and neonatal care in postnatal period. |
Provides initial and ongoing healthcare of the newborn. |
Communicates with the woman considering her values, respect her privacy and gain her trust. |
