OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: For the needs of healthy or sick individual; The aim of this course is to improve the health of the individual and his / her family, to prevent diseases, to provide nursing education for treatment and rehabilitation, to take part in the decision-making process of the stages of planning, execution and evaluation, to acquire the knowledge, skills and attitude required by the modern nursing roles.
Contents of the Course Unit: It covers the nurse's educational and counseling role.

Understands the quality, types and rules of learning.
Recognize the audio-visual tools used in education and decide which one should be used.
Determines the problems related to learning and teaching and makes the decision of the education plan to solve the problem.
Creates an appropriate teaching environment for healthy learning.
Performs educational and counseling roles of the nurse required by modern nursing roles.
Communicate with healthy / ill individual, family, group and community.
