OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: To consider the various approaches, concepts and techniques of scientific research; to analyse and conduct scientific research cases on a personal or group basis; to make literature review and write research reports; to comply with scientific and ethical standards in reaching, using and disseminating data.
Contents of the Course Unit: Science and scientific approach; literature review; qualitative and quantitative research methods; exploratory and critical research methods; research questions and hypotheses; sampling; referencing; reporting.

Students taking this course explain basic concepts, methods and approaches related with quantitative and qualitative research.
Make literature review before conducting scientific research.
Use descriptive, exploratory and critical research methods and quantitative and qualitative techniques while conducting research.
