OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: It is aimed to gain knowledge skills and attitudes about teaching blood products and blood protection techniques.
Contents of the Course Unit: Blood products, Preoperative hemostasis system of transfusion requirement, Coagulation factor deficiencies, Thrombocytopenia and thrombocyte functions, Methods that optimize heparin and protamine applications in cardiac surgery patients, Effects of heparin and protamine applications in cardiac surgery patients on coagulant and anticoagulant systems, Use of recombinant FVII preparations of antifibrinolytic agents (aprotinin, epsilon aminocaproic acid), selection of non-pump coronary artery bypass surgery, routine use of cell protective devices, proper transfusion indications, bleeding problems in cardiovascular surgery guides and case reports
