OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: Dersin amacı, gaz türbinlerinin temel prensiplerini ve temel tasarım aşamaları yöntemlerini öğretmektir.
Contents of the Course Unit: The Propulsion Systems course contains many content necessary for aircraft gas turbines. These are: aerodynamics, turbomachinery, combustion and turbine performance.

Students who successfully complete this course; Will be able to compare gas turbine types and design processes. Will be able to discuss the principles of combustion. Will be able to define the basic principles of turbomachinery. Will be able to explain the basic components of gas turbine. Will be able to determine wing profile and geometry on the basis of aerodynamics. Will be able to define turbine performance.
