OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The aim is to explain the role and responsibilities of human resources management as a discipline that seeks to understand work and organizations by centering on the human element, from a sustainability perspective.
Contents of the Course Unit: It covers topics such as human resource planning, recruitment, selection, onboarding, employee development, career planning, performance evaluation, and compensation.

Explains the role and fundamental responsibilities of human resources management.
Defines the steps in the human resource planning process.
Defines the steps of an effective personnel recruitment process.
Defines the employee selection process, identifies problems that may occur during job interviews, and explains ways to correct them.
Explains the purpose and content of the employee handbook.
Explains the purpose of the performance evaluation system and the steps involved in the evaluation process.
Explains base pay, bonuses, and various types of compensation as components of a pay program.
