OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The aim of this course is to provide students with the information and skills of the firstaid support and to prevent potential accidents.
Contents of the Course Unit: Definition, importance, principles of first aid, human anatomy, fracture, dislocation, drowning, burn, poisoning, shock, coma, basic first aid rules in accidents and injuries.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Define the basic concepts and principles related to firstaid.
Define basic human anatomy.
Interpret the responsibilities of the first aider.
Explain basic first aid information and skills in accident, fracture, dislocation, sprain, burning, drowning, coma and shock etc. situations.
