OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The aim of the course is to teach the students the subjects of phonetic and phonics, vowels and consonants of Turkish, phonemes, phonemes, written language and spoken language, stress, vowel and consonant harmonies, pre and post sounds, and sounds not found in Turkish.
Contents of the Course Unit: The course covers the topics of phonetic and phonics, vowels and consonants of Turkish, phonemes, written language and spoken language, accent, vowel and consonant harmonies, pre and post sounds, and sounds not found in Turkish.

Define the phonetic features of Turkish.
Apply the rules of pronunciation and spelling while writing a text or giving a speech.
Identify the place of stress in Turkish words.
Examine phonetic events in Turkish while writing or reading a text.
Assess Turkish grammar books according to the stated outcomes.
