OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS |

Objectives of the Course Unit: | The aim of the course is to comprehend Arabic elements in Ottoman Turkish with their grammatical features; To be able to analyze the phrases in Arabic and to develop the ability to read, understand and translate fictional or informative texts written in the 19th century. |
Contents of the Course Unit: | In this course, all types of Arabic words are studied according to their usage in Ottoman Turkish. The Arabic phrases are analyzed in detail. In addition, studies are carried out to read and translate works written in Arabic letters and mostly printed works in the 19th century into Turkish today. |
