Objectives of the Course Unit: | The aim of the course is to comprehend the social, cultural, political and economic developments that prepared the formation of Turkish literature in the Tanzimat Period. Besides, to introduce the important figures and works of Turkish Literature in the Modernization Period. In addition to these, by introducing the schools of different literary genres that influenced Turkish Literature in the Tanzimat Period; to enable students to analyze texts belonging to these schools. |
Contents of the Course Unit: | The contents of the course include; a) Important artists and works of Turkish literature in the Tanzimat period, b) Different literary genres that were transferred to our literature through the Turkish Literature of the Tanzimat Period, c) Schools of Turkish Literature in the Modernization Period and d) Analysis of the texts. |
