OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to introduce theoretical and practical knowledge about basic network technologies.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include the subjects such as historical development of computer networks, elements and architecture of computer networks, network communication systems, network types and basic concepts, OSI Model and network protocols, network topologies, network equipment, its devices and cables, network protocols, communication on the network.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Recognize network systems.
Select the topology.
Recognize important computer network protocols.
Make the physical installation of network systems.
Apply the appropriate assembly to the network topology.
Design computer networks.
