OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS |

Objectives of the Course Unit: | This course aims to improve aptitude for recognizing basic concepts and knowledge about public administration, and introduce systematic knowledge on the system of organization and functioning of the Turkish administration system. |
Contents of the Course Unit: | Contents of the course include basic concepts of public administration, principles used in the organization of public administration, organization of centralization, decentralization organization, Public policy, human resources management in public, and public administration audit. |

Explain historical development process, main conceptual and theoretical information of public administration field. |
Define differences between public administration and private administrations. |
Compare Continental Europe administration system and Anglo-Saxon administration system with Turkish administration system according to obtained basic concepts and information. |
Relate the organizational structure of Turkish administration system by dividing into parts and demonstrate the relation of these with the whole on a chart. |
Summarize differences in terms of institution, supervision and autonomy by recognizing the organization logic of central administration and local administrations. |
Rephrase principles of democratic public administration understanding with a critical perspective. |
