OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: To teach students the basic concepts of sports training and to provide them with basic information on creating training plans suitable for age groups. To provide information about the athlete development program.
Contents of the Course Unit: Long-term athlete development program, developmental stages, training loads and child, biomotor and coordinative abilities, stages of training in children, training periodization.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Can define the types of Basic and Auxiliary Biomotor abilities separately and relate them to each other.
Can explain the basic concepts of training planning.
Can explain the basic concepts of training planning. Can establish relationships between training load methods and energy metabolism.
Can establish the relationship between load and rest in training.
Can explain the basic concepts of Training Science.
Can explain the Concept of Development.
