Objectives of the Course Unit: | The objective of the course is to teach the students the importance of correct nutrition and physical activity in the elderly and to gain the knowledge to choose suitable exercise types for elderly people. |
Contents of the Course Unit: | Contents of the course include; definitions and concepts, body structure and functions in old age, nutrition elements, nutrition in elderly, physical activity and benefits of physical activity in the elderly, chronic diseases and physical activity in the elderly with chronic illness and motivation methods recommended for increasing physical activity in the elderly. |
