Objectives of the Course Unit: | The objective of the course is to help students gain the knowledge and skill to explain the importance of exercising and sports throughout the life and to choose the appropriate exercise type for the individual's characteristics. |
Contents of the Course Unit: | Contents of the course include; the disadvantages of sedentary life in terms of health, concept of life long sports concept in the world and in Turkey, importance of sports and exercise, scientific foundations of lifelong sports, effects of regular lifelong sports practice on human health, the purpose of aerobic exercise, sports for women, elderly and children, factors affecting lifelong sports, selecting the exercise for lifelong sports, flexibility and some stretching exercises. |
