OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The aim is to define the concepts of preliminary project and final project as well as implementation project, to learn the different expression techniques required by these stages in practice, and to investigate how to integrate the solutions to be obtained from different disciplines regarding a design problem in the implementation project.
Contents of the Course Unit: Within the scope of the preliminary project, final project and implementation project, it includes researching and comparing alternatives in terms of spatial arrangement and carrier system, and examining the design in terms of building materials, building components and construction technologies. It also includes the integration of the structural system, heating and ventilation system, plumbing system, mechanical and electrical equipment systems related to the building subsystems with the proposed design.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

1. Understanding the concepts of preliminary project, final project and implementation project
2. The student acquires the ability to design building subsystems compatible with current building materials and construction technologies used today and to prepare a regular application project on a certain subject.
