OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The aim of the course is to provide basic economic infrastructure to students in terms of economic concept and basic economic mechanisms, price mechanism which gives direction to firm economy, consumption, production and costs and price formation in different market structures.
Contents of the Course Unit: Definition of Economics, Micro and Macro Economics Concepts, Economic Structure and Functioning in Operation, Price, Utility, Supply and Demand, Equilibrium Point, Consumption and Production Theories, Costs; Monopoly, Oligopoly, Missing Competition and Perfect Competition.
