OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: To teach the importance of human factor in aviation and the rules to be observed.
Contents of the Course Unit: Human factors, the need to consider human factors, events attributable to human factors, Murphy's Law, human performance and limitations; vision, hearing, computing, attention and perception, memory, indoor fear and physical access, social psychology; responsibility, motivation and loss of motivation, age pressure, cultural problems, teamwork, management supervision and leadership, explaining the factors affecting human performance, workload, physical environment, tasks, communication, human error and workplace hazards.
