OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: It is aimed to give a general paradigm regarding the World and Turkish Economy and current problems by examining the microeconomic phenomena
Contents of the Course Unit: Subject, Scope and History of Economics, Place of Economics among Other Sciences, Purpose of Economics, Basic Concepts of Economy: Needs, Goods and Services, Factors of Production: Nature, Labor, Capital and Entrepreneur,Production Possibilities Curve and Analysis, Utility and Value, Wealth, Income, Demand: Characteristics of Demand, Factors Affecting Demand, Law of Demand, Demand Function, Movements of the Demand Curve, The Concept of Elasticity Supply: Characteristics of Supply, Factors Influencing Supply, Law of Supply, Supply Function, Movements of the Supply Curve Market Equilibrium, Market Equilibrium and Prices in the Market Formation, Market Types, Producer and Consumer Surplus, Government Intervention in Prices, Unemployment Concept, Types of Unemployment, Applied Labor Market Policies in Combating Unemployment, Money and Bank, Concepts and Calculation of National Income, Inflation, Types of Inflation According to Causes.
