Objectives of the Course Unit: | The aim of the course is to provide students with the knowledge and skills to explain the effects of psychology on athletic performance development, apply basic mental training methods, and use the fundamental knowledge they have acquired in psychology to enhance athletes' performance. |
Contents of the Course Unit: | Course content: Sports psychology field, topics: personality, motivation, arousal, stress, and anxiety in sports; competition and match psychology, group and team dynamics, group cohesion, leadership and communication in sports, psychological skill training, attention, perception, concentration, processes that negatively affect athletic performance: burnout, overtraining, unhealthy behaviors, addiction, violence, and aggression. |
