OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The aim of the course is to provide students with the knowledge to explain the processes related to socialization and community building in sports, and to conduct case studies on issues of deviation and violence in sports activities.
Contents of the Course Unit: The course content includes definitions and concepts related to sports sociology, the emergence and historical chronological development of sports sociology, the historical development of the Olympic Games, the definition of society, society and sports, family and sports from a sociological perspective, education and sports from a sociological perspective, culture and sports from a sociological perspective, sports and socialization, and deviance and violence in sports activities.

Defines the basic concepts related to Sports Sociology.
Explains each element of the benefits and gains of sports.
It discusses the sociological effects of sports on family, culture, education, and politics.
