OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS |
Objectives of the Course Unit: |
In industrial production, being able to draw the construction assembly and complete assembly drawings and maintenance and usage catalogues of the products to be manufactured in two and three dimensions in a computer-aided drawing environment. |
Contents of the Course Unit: |
To get to know computer-aided drawing programs, to understand the use of CAD software in machine and element design, to learn basic commands and to do 2D drawing studies applying these commands, and also to learn the basics of 3D drawing. |
KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to) |
Transferring designs made using computer CAD software to the computer environment, making designs with these software and creating technical drawing outputs. |
The computer-aided design program includes basic drawing commands such as coordinate system, line, polyline, rectangle, arc, region, circle, copy, move, trim, scale, save, save as, fillet, chamfer, array, tan, and radius, along with their 2D applications. Basic addition commands are also available. |
Ability to use basic computer CAD software and create and design simple machine parts. |
