OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to provide an understanding of the fundamental principles of Turkish Obligations Law, the relations between obligations and its sources (legal processes, tortious acts and unjust enrichment)
Contents of the Course Unit: This course includes the topics of the elements and fundamental principles of Obligations Law as well as contract, tortious act and unjust enrichment.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

The student will be able to define the basic concepts regarding obligations.
The student will be able to analyze the establishing process of contracts and the obligations it imposes on parties.
The student will be able to recognize the principles of a contract, how they are established and classify types of contracts.
The student will be able to evaluate the reasons to end obligations, the results of default
The student will be able to offer basic solutions to practical problems while taking the conditions of tortious act and unjust enrichment into consideration.
