| Objectives of the Course Unit: | The aim of this course is to provide students with a firm understanding of the impact of molecular biology and genetics on medicine and the connection with medical knowledge and it's implication on patients. |
| Contents of the Course Unit: | Chemical structure of the cell, structure of the cell, cell organelles, cell membrane structure, Mendelian and non-Mendelian genetics, transcription, translation, chromatin and chromosome structure, cell cycle control, cell division polymorphism, DNA repair mechanisims, mutation, hereditary diseases, prenatal diagnosis and genetic counseling |
