OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The aim of the course is to provide students with knowledge, skills and attitudes about concepts and principles of special education, individuals who need special education and their characteristics and current issues related to special education.
Contents of the Course Unit: Aims and Principles of Special Education, History of Special Education, Children with Special Needs and Areas of Special Needs, Evaluation and Developmental Diagnosis of Children with Special Needs, Problems of Families with Children with Special Needs, Education of Parents of Children with Special Needs, Rights of Children with Special Needs and Their Parents, Current Situation of Special Education in Turkey.
