OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The aim of the course is to provide students with knowledge, skills and attitudes about the importance the mental health of children, adults and community, mental health and diseases, the differences between normal and problem behaviors in normal development and mental disorders, appropriate solution methods for problem behaviors and cooperation with other professionals of the mental health discipline to which they can apply when necessary, causes that impair mental health in children and adaptation problems.
Contents of the Course Unit: Concepts of child mental health, Adaptation problems, Developmental theories and approaches and the conditions of orientatipn Importance of mental health, Behavior and adaptation problems in childhood, Communication with family, Trans-disciplinary work.

Shows examples of behavior and adaptation problems in childhood.
