OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The aim of this course; to teach physiotherapy and rehabilitation students the techniques of palpation and movement (mobilization and manipulation) of soft tissues such as joints, muscles and ligaments, and to provide students with the knowledge, attitudes and skills to safely apply these techniques.
Contents of the Course Unit: Advanced manipulative therapy techniques, cervical-thoracic-lumbar-sacroiliac manipulation and mobilizations, peripheral joint manipulation and mobilizations, osteopathy approach.

They can perform manual examination of soft tissues such as joints, muscles and ligaments.
They can explore the sensation of soft tissues.
They can apply eliminating movement restrictions by practicing.
They can organize the necessary therapy planning steps for the selection of manual therapy application.
They can repeat the applications of mobilization and manipulation techniques.
They can decide on the manual therapy technique to be used in joint, ligament, tendon and muscle injuries and apply it at a basic level.
