OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS |

Objectives of the Course Unit: | It is aimed to gain knowledge and attitudes about recognizing hearing aids and assistive devices and choosing the appropriate hearing aid for the patient. |
Contents of the Course Unit: | Hearing aid components, hearing aid signal processing techniques types of hearing aids, indications and approach to hearing loss, current trends in hearing aids, bilateral amplification and its importance, unilateral hearing loss and amplification, methods of verifying hearing aid application (rem-recd), ear molds and acoustic effects, performance analysis and verification of technical specifications of hearing aids, hearing aid systems, problem solving and fine tuning in hearing aid application, hearing aid applications in pediatric and geriatric group, amplification systems and assistive device applications, indication for amplification. |
